The world does not care.
It doesn’t have a moment to spare
When years go by,
And you’re about to die
Then they stand and point and stare..
A smile, an ear,a shared cup of tea
Not much more can be asked of them
And yet with disdain,at those beseeching eyes
They look and look at,with their heart in ice
How much more can it bear
And how much more can you?
Of this isolation, of this despair
Isn’t there something that I can do?
They push and they shove
To get somewhere now
And so I push along too
What the world forgot is a little bit of love
Where only a kind word will do..
