Her shuttered eyes, those stemmed tears

A million dreams, and a thousand fears

Those hours she missed, of peace, of sleep

For her child, her love ran so so deep…

 

When she would worry for them

yet smile, with her love, deceive

And them, but always would selfish be

Blind to it all, they ne’er can perceive

 

What miracle made her, woman so,

With a heart unbound, pure as snow

A fathomless well, a spring of love

That even the darkest heart does but bow…

 

A mother, ’tis her, could only be

That God’s sent angel, visiting, see

Divine, yet human, her foibles plain

‘Tis only her could smile through all that pain…

What shall I Rhyme on?

What topic shall I pick, to rhyme on about?
I’ve got the short end of the stick, ’tis without doubt..
Of flowers and fairies, I’ve written all that I can
Of rainbows and butterflies, and the rare odd snowman..

Like bullies, me old poems, they belittle my soul
I’m all out of words, they say, I’ve crested that knoll
How many valleys and skies must you praise?
Find out some new ones, bellow my eyes with a glaze…

The sun, the moon, the stars are all so so bored
They’ve been written about, now they wish to be ignored…
The waters of the seas, and rivers and little lakes
Have sadly all been part of my many past mistakes…

What then should I rhyme on? What poetry remains?
I’m going slightly crazy, trying to wrack my brains..
Maybe I’ve lost the ability to see, yet maybe I still can
Maybe my next inspiration should be Batman!

കൊച്ചു കൊച്ചു നിമിഷങ്ങള
തേടി പോയ നാളിൽ നീ
വന്നതൊന്നും കണ്ടില്ല
മുമ്പില നിന്ന ആളിൽ നീ

കാറ്റിൽ തേടി , വീട്ടിൽ തേടി
ഓടി നടന്നു , പയ്യെ നടന്നു
കൂട്ടിൽ തേടി , നാട്ടിൽ തേടി
കണ്ണും പൂറ്റി , ചാടി നടന്നു

ആ നിലാവിൽ ഏതു ശലഭം
കിട്ടുമെന്ന് പ്രാർത്ഥനയോടെ
കാത്തിരുന്ന് വേദനയോടെ
കൈ ഒഴിഞ്ഞു പോയ നിമിഷം

പൂവിൽ വീണ മഞ്ഞ പോലെ
വേനലിൽ കളഞ്ഞു പോയി
കാലം എത്ര വന്നു പോയി
ഒരായിരം പ്രേമം അറിഞ്ജ പോലെ ..

എന്നിട്ടും അറിഞ്ജില്ലേ പ്രിയേ നീ
ഇനിക്ക് നീയും ,നിനുക്ക് ഞാനും
ദൈവം പണ്ടേ ഒന്ന് എഴുതി
നീ തേടിയ ആ സ്വർഗ്ഗ ഗാനം ..

Vannathonnum kandilla

Mumpil ninna aalil nee

Kaatil Thedi, veetil Thedi

Odi nadannu, payye nadannu

Kootil Thedi, naatil Thedi

Kannum pooti, chaadi nadannu

Aa nilavil ethu shalabham

Kittumennu prarthanayode

Kaathirunnu vedanayode

Kai ozhinju poya nimisham

Poovil veena manj pole

Venalil kalanju poyi

Kaalam etra vannu poyi

Orayiram premam arinja pole..

Ennittum arinjille priye nee

Inikku neeyum,ninukku njanum

Daivam pande onnu ezhuthi

Nee thediya  aa swarga gaanam..
