Icecream, Love, Poem

A scoop, a slurp, lickety split
Banana flavoured, a big bite I bit
Rocky road all the way
Vanilla was what I wanted today

A cone, a cup, a big bowl of cream
Ice cream, Ice cream, every summer’s dream
Butterscotch to quench my thirst
Or shall I have strawberry first?

Brain freeze, tongue gone numb
Icecream makes me go all dumb
But what even can I say to you
I just love icecream, that much is true

Chocolate is best, some say
But I beg to differ, Mango’s on the way
Coffee and honey and walnuts too
Black currant if I’m feeling too blue

Pineapples are great, coconuts too
Hundreds of flavours, oh what can I do
There is but one lifetime, to try them all
Have a little icecream, and life is a ball…

Easy, Hard, Love, Poems, Tough

Love is too hard, stayin lovin hard too
Don’t let down your guard
Don’t think you know what to do

If it ain’t even a little bit of pain
Then it ain’t love baby, ain’t nothin to gain
Love is too hard, love is not for you

Ain’t no mirrors broken, ain’t no plates thrown
Then have you even loved, have you even grown
Love, you think is rosy, love is easy-peasy?
Love is anything but that, anything but breezy

You think you’re gonna make it out alive
Love isn’t like a job, you do it nine to five
Love is eternal, the pain and the balm
Love extends to infinity, love begets the calm

Like lightning, you love to watch it flash
But no, love, Love is like being in a plane crash
Love may be attainable, but love is too hard
Love made many an idiot, and many a bard…

Love, My son, Poems

You nibble my nose,
And kiss my cheek
You know that makes me
So very very weak

You loom, and stare
Into my eyes, with orbs
A dirty brown, smile and bare
My soul for all eternity

You nestle up in the crook
Of my arms , and nap and snore
You read me like a book
And know which buttons to push

To make me grin, and wonder why
God blessed me so, my little boy
You make me feel alive and spry
You. You bring me so much joy…

Give me a chance…

Chance, Love, Romance, Spot poetry

A chance, just a chance,
To point the stars out to you
To say your name, to hold your hands
To bring out that smile in you

To see your eyes, twinkling in the light
Twinkling with delight, twinkling in the night
To feel the warm breeze, of a sandy shore
To be with you, like never before…

To sing to you, and not have you laugh
But enjoy every word as I mean them
To welcome the sunrise, for it to be enough
Beautiful colors, as only we could have seen them

A chance, just a simple simple chance
To bring out my love, to wring out my heart,
To win you over, to have our first dance
A chance, just a chance, to see our love start…

Would you ever consider, ponder, think?
To give me the one thing I desire;
Or would you push me, over the brink
Ne’er the chance, light up that fire…?

No less, no more, a chance, just a chance,
No hidden agendas, no webbed plans
All I need, is a nod in advance
So I could show you, my version of romance…

Why do you love me?

Love, Poem

There are people who can sing
Ditties, ballads, and the blues
People who can always bring
The wittiest, coolest joke to you

There are people who can make you smile
A million dollar smile, and then feel
With words, as they walk with you a while
As they display their nerves of steel

People who can bravely face
Any monster under the bed
People who can daily race
Lightning for you, if you said

People who are just better than most
One of a kind, from coast to coast
Why then, why do you love me?
Tell me what is it you see?

‘Cos I can’t bring myself to become
The man who’s the greatest, the world’s best
I just know to give my heart, and some
Love, when you want a shoulder to rest…

What is Love?

better half, Love, Poem, what is love

Love is when you can’t sleep,
‘Cos she’s still counting sheep
Love is when all the words in your head
Are whispered by the bed

Love is when you smile,
At her ever-widening grin
Love is when you find
A reason, to touch her chin

Love, is when summers, and winters and rain
Are spent in embraces, in soothing her pain
Love, is a medicine, in slow gulps you endure
But it makes you better, that is for sure

Love, is that brilliant, brilliant thing you wanted
And yet you never knew that you ever did
Love, is that drug, so lovely, so enchanted
Love permeates, and drenches, in this desert so arid..

Love, Poems, stories

To entangle, every thread of your life
To love, and cherish you, my wife
To knit and weave, threads of my own
And make us whole, one, not alone…

That is the story I wish to narrate
Of lovely little mornings, some early, some late
And nights held together, by whispers of love
A story, of us, what a story! Wow!

Imagine, the distance, of years gone by
When we look back and remember the sky
As it first looked on us, united by fate
And we started our eternity, though it was a bit late

Imagine the wrinkles, a story in each
Of us sipping colas on some secluded beach
And travels, and travails, and memories so clear
A story, of us, only us my dear …

Love, Poem

I told the stars all about you
I told the sun, what I’d do
I wrote a song, and sang it loud
I waited and waited, then I bowed

For the applause, that didn’t come
And so I drowned, in a bottle of rum
I told the rivers, I told the seas
I told the flowers, I told the bees

I couldn’t wait, to share the news
To spread some joy, dispel the blues
But no one cared, no one listened
A teardrop or two, on my cheek it glistened

They’ve heard it all, it’s nothing new
I am but one, they’ve met a few
But it still couldn’t dull, the fact that it’s true
The fact that darling, I love you…

bliss, joy, Love, Poetry

Bliss, is an ice-cream, on a hot summer’s day
Bliss is when the clouds keep rolling away
Joy, is in a smile, a hug that brings cheer
Joy is in your eyes, and I wish they were here….

A kiss, that I gave when I made you cry
Bliss, when I tickled you, that made you smile
Rapture, in every tick of that running hand
Ecstasy, ecstasy, if only for a little while…

Why would you put me, through rivers of my tears?
Why would you extricate, all my hidden fears
I’m lonely, and I wanna cry
And I wish you would ask my why…

Euphoria, elation, bliss in another word
Emotions that I sometimes wish were unstirred
Time, that cruel master, pretends to heal me
Till I hear your voice, and I wish I could just see…

Love, Poem, songs, Waiting

Darlin I’ve been waiting a long time
For you to look at me differently
Baby I’ve been turning on a dime
For you to acknowledge me differently

It’s been a little while, its been so long
It’s all I can think about, it feels so wrong
Darlin I’ve been sitting here all day
For you to even see me in another way

It was so cloudy, now it’s raining too
And my tears are dissolving, mocking me
But dear, you don’t care, do you?
Darlin, I’ve been crying since eternity…

Darling, your voice sounds different
From the day you fell in love with me
Darling, it now seems apparent
That you’re no longer in love with me.
