Poem, Spot poetry, thoughts

You’ve got chances
Ain’t nobody watching u do the little dances
You gonna sign the dotted line
And bring out the red wine

Shout out to all the boys and girls
you fought with
Befriended you and all the ones you got with
Doubled down on lucky things you bought with
And all the friends you taught with

You’ve got a hundred days to go now
Before the lights are gonna blow now
Make it count, make it round make it, make it snow now
Make it like the best ever show now

Jump on the wagon, drive on the sidewalk
Sing all the songs , hear all the people talk
You’ve got chances, don’t you be trying to blow them
Use them, now’s your chance to show them…

Dreams, Last night, Poem, Spot poetry

Last night I dreamt I was alive
Last night I dreamt I saw the stars shine
Last night, I could swear I felt alive
Last night, I felt it all could’ve been fine

Was it all a dream, or was it really true
I don’t know how, let me know if you do
Last night I dreamt I saw your eyes
When I started counting all the stars in the skies

Even as the floor was on fire
And Hell burnt alive with the fruits of desire
Last night, it felt like the sea
The ocean calling out to me

The beach, each grain of sand
A moment of my life, that I could understand
Last night, it all felt so so new
Cry out, that’s all I felt I could do

Last night I dreamt I was just going
Out on the sea, on a rickety boat, rowing
Last night, I smiled as I laid eyes on the city
For the last time, for the last time in eternity

Give me a chance…

Chance, Love, Romance, Spot poetry

A chance, just a chance,
To point the stars out to you
To say your name, to hold your hands
To bring out that smile in you

To see your eyes, twinkling in the light
Twinkling with delight, twinkling in the night
To feel the warm breeze, of a sandy shore
To be with you, like never before…

To sing to you, and not have you laugh
But enjoy every word as I mean them
To welcome the sunrise, for it to be enough
Beautiful colors, as only we could have seen them

A chance, just a simple simple chance
To bring out my love, to wring out my heart,
To win you over, to have our first dance
A chance, just a chance, to see our love start…

Would you ever consider, ponder, think?
To give me the one thing I desire;
Or would you push me, over the brink
Ne’er the chance, light up that fire…?

No less, no more, a chance, just a chance,
No hidden agendas, no webbed plans
All I need, is a nod in advance
So I could show you, my version of romance…

Spot poetry, Stars

Stars, stars, these damn endless stars
Spewn across the murky black sky
Tiny, pinpricks, glowing far
Stars, I hate them from afar

No matter how much I try, I fail
To gauge, their usefulness to me
They mock, they sneer, they glow, they pale
They taunt me with their mystery

In packs and groups, they form the signs
Astronomy, astrology, written down in wiggly lines
Constellations, novae, stars so fine
That some people even think they’re divine

Latin, Greek , and Roman names
Silly to some, to some, sailor’s games
These stars, they’re there, since ages long
And eons hence, they’ll still be strong

No matter how much trouble I’m in
No matter the hole, no matter the sin
A boatload of sky, dotted with stars
Is all it takes, free me from this infernal din

A window in a plane, me looking out
Closest I can get to the stars this life
Closest I can get to asking, to shout
Tell me your story, don’t cause me such strife

Fate and Destiny

Destiny, Fate, Poetry, Spot poetry

Right around the corner, is a little bend
It goes on and on, it doesn’t end
Why it doesn’t, no one doth know
But it goes on, and long doth it go..

Life, that road, that uncommon road
We begin, unwillingly, so too do we end
Bumps, and humps, sometimes a motherlode
Of happiness, or tears, right round the bend

Sometimes we’re all alone, whining, depressed
Sometimes, there’s a party, but you’re underdressed
Sometimes it doesn’t make sense, not at all
Sometimes there’s clarity, but like a crystal ball

We expect to be in one piece, we expect to survive
We expect to be stars, in a show broadcast live
Life, it has a funny way, of showing us the door
Life is so interesting, like nothing ever before

Walk down the path, we must,
muster all our brawn
Walk, for we don’t know,
if ’tis our last dawn

Life, that bloody road,
With no end in sight, so vast
But that road’ll lead you,
Where you’re supposed to be, at last…

Destiny, it laughs, at your feeble fickle attempt
Fate, it bellows in merriment, as it smiles in contempt
You’re not going anywhere, except where you’re supposed to be
And when you get there, at long last, you’ll see…

Hope, Poetry, Spot poetry

There it is, in the sunrise, vivid
Raging red, auburn, livid
And yet it lives in moonlight too
And in the softer shades of blue

In lapping waters of serene lakes
And torrents that a river makes
There it is, there it is, alive
Yet hidden, like a buzzing beehive

You can feel it’s presence,
A wave , a whiff, murmurs, scents
It’s warmth will fill you, its essence divine
And yet, it’s something you cannot define

Hope, that bastard, it’s something we crave
It’s something we need, for us to be brave
Hope, that elusive thing, like a wonderous breeze
Can set us alight, while we sit and freeze

How can you not see it, it’s right there
In every breath, that next puff of air
Hope, that helped us, more than we knew
Don’t let it evaporate, like morning’s dew…
